About Pandora UMC
Who We Are
Pandora UMC is a hometown church serving the people of Pandora and Putnam County, OH. Widely regarded as the heartbeat of the community, PUMC is focused on growing people in faith, creating a caring community, and giving back through missions.
Our Mission
To Know Christ and Make Him Known.
Our Vision
Pandora UMC envisions a day when the people of our community witness to the transformation of their lives through the love and service of our church family.
Our Core Values
Pandora UMC is a faith community undergirded by the following enduring values:
-
The Bible - We believe that the Bible is central to our faith and contains all things necessary for salvation.
-
Real Welcome – We believe that the church is called to embrace and love all people, as Christ did, regardless of who they are, what they’ve done, or where they’ve been.
-
Vibrant Worship - We value worship, honoring God through music and the Word, and expressing our love and devotion to God as an important part of what we do individually and corporately.
-
Family Fellowship - We are a family and value the strength and joy we receive in the body of Christ, His church, felt through our fellowship, worship, learning and support with accountability.
-
Warm Witness - We believe that living out our lives in the Spirit is one of the strongest witnesses we have to draw others to Christ.
-
Developing Disciples - We believe in disciple making through spiritual growth and maturity, equipping believers for their ministry in the world.
-
God-given gifts - We believe our offerings, our talents, and our service are gifts from God and therefore are to be employed in the building of God’s Kingdom here on earth.
-
Personal Transformation - We believe in the power of God through Christ to transform lives by God’s grace.
-
Meaningful Missions – We value missions and understand our accountability to take the Good News of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world.
